My husband is a research guru and after extensive reading online, he finally decided that Durahold was the rug pad for us. We have several persian rugs and we read that Durahold has a textured surface to hold the rug and a natural rubber bottom to grip to the floor.
Most of our rugs are fairly good sized along with a few runners. This rug pad seems to be excellent at keeping the runners from slipping. It has a nice feel to the step and looks like excellent construction. We checked on the manufacturer and this product is made in the USA, which is a big plus for us. I highly recommend Durahold rug pads to anyone who wants to protect their investment and add a bit of comfort as well. Best Rug Pads had the best prices and included free shipping, which was a big benefit.

Super Movenot is made by Vantage Industries and I have read about them being a good manufacturer of rug padding. I opted for their Super Movenot because I wanted a non slip pad but also one with some cushion. I found several on Amazon.com and I must admit, although the pricing was very competitive among the merchants on Amazon, I did notice many different listings with many different pictures. It made me wonder a bit yet I figured I would order one piece at first. The pad arrived from one of their merchants and overall it is a good pad. I am sure there are better quality ones available but the price was good and hopefully it will last without any damage to my floors.

My floors were redone with engineered floors and the first thing my floor person said was not to use any rug pad with chemicals or adhesives. I found this Superior jute rug pad at Rug Pad Corner and it claimed to be made of recycled jute and free of anything harmful to my floor. I ordered to room size ones.
This pad lives up to its description on the web site. It does not have any odor at all and is a felt jute pad. There is no sign of rubber or latex and truly is one of the most comfortable rug pads I have ever used. I am using both under hand made rugs from India and am very happy with the product. The only downside to the pad is that it really is not best for smaller rugs since it does not prevent sliding. I was told this when I called the web site and they explained that most rugs of size 6'x9' and over do not tend to slide so this pad works great for room size rugs. My rugs are heavy enough and with furniture on them, sliding is never an issue.

We must have went through 3 different pads that claim to work for rugs on carpet. The sticky ones were just okay for a few weeks and then they stopped working. I heard about No-Muv and called the company that I found online. Apparently, this is only made for rugs on carpet and provides such a stiff foundation that it can resist heavy furniture as well. I have a runner as well as an area rug in my family room so I ordered both. As soon as I saw the pads I knew these were not like the others. About 1/4 of an inch dense and when we placed the rugs on top, the moving stopped! hands down, the best rug pad for rugs on carpet. It costs a bit more than the flimsy ones but this one does work!! We found Best Rug Pads to have the best price along with free shipping.
